Akash & Madhavi
Both of us registered to Shaadi.com with not so great hopes to find a life-partner on the internet. But we have to thank the medium of internet and the portal Shaadi.com to help us find our life-partner. I contacted Madhavi on July 6, 2006 and we started chatting from that day on. We struck the cord as soon as we started chatting, but I think it was the simplicity of Madhavi which played a major part in making my choice. The more I talked to her and knew about her, the more I was inclined to think that she was the one for me. I felt an immediate bond with her. Madhavi also felt the same, but she wanted little more time to think about the relationship. During this time, we talked a lot about our future, our likes and dislikes, our past, our families and how would we want our future family to be, and possibly anything and everything you can think about. We sure did have some challenges because of distance - meeting in person was pretty difficult. Akash was in Canada while I moved from Delhi to Mumbai and then to Hong Kong for my work. My parents are in Benaras (Varanasi) and Akash's family lives in Baroda. Finally, it was in late September that both the families met. They thought that we would be perfect choice for each other. However, two of us had not seen or met in person by then. It was in November when Akash travelled to India. While he was flying to India, he stopped in Hong Kong and that is where we first met. Two of us decided that we would be compatible for each other and I decided to travel to India for just about a week. We sure made my family in Benaras to rush to Baroda for our engagement registered marriage on November 21, 2006. As of today, Akash is in Canada and I am still in Hong Kong, though Akash will visit India in April and two of us will go to Canada. I am very fond of snow which we will surely see in next winter. Till then, we will enjoy the summer and our new home. We both thank Shaadi.com to help us choose our soul-mate.

Well, I'm finally married!!!! the hunt for the right person went on for a couple of years and all sources failed. I guess the difficult part or the hurdle was the fact that I was in Sydney and my parents were in India. This is where Shaadi.com proved most beneficial. Amit's profile was listed here and when the initial exchange of mails started, I could have never imagined that this was the one that was going to finally wotk out! He was working in India and I was living in Sydney! I was disappointed and fed up of seeing bio-data's, pictures, meeting people and answering the same questions over and over again. I had been to India twice in the last year and still no luck. Everytime something about the guy or the family would not match up. Amit's profile seemed to click and when the intial response came, I was in India. Our family's met up in India and though it seemed a bit awkward at first, but we all soon became very comfortable. I then requested to meet Amit alone over lunch. He seemed to be very easy going and calm and friendly. We both agreed to keep in touch (as I was going back to Sydney soon). After about 3 months we said yes and a small ceremony was done in India. The date for the wedding was fixed for 7th Jan. Meanwhile Amit also got a job in Australia and came over in October. So it all finally worked out so well. We are now very happily married and are great friends. I guess one should not be disappointed. If out of frustration, I had deleted my profile from shaadi.com, I would have never found Amit :-) A big THANK YOU TO SHAADI.COM :-) The match was made in heaven but we could not have know that we existed, if not for this site!!! Sine We live in Austrlaia, I've given below the contact details for my parents in India. Me and Amit will be going to India in March - April.

Hi, This was really nice experience of my life and ultimately i go my life partner. It all happen in very nice and pleasent way. I put my profile in Nov'06 to have search for my life partner through net as a another channel. Through Shaadi.com, there were many profiles which suited and liked and i contacted them as well they contacted me. In same way Myself n my family come in contact with Richa's dad, and while i visited Indore, Richa's father also visited to meet me and family. That was the real heads up and very nice to meet. Both family find them as well both of us suited, then after 2 day, me and richa met first time and by evening it was almost OK, coming Sunday was the ROKA and then all proceeding. 18-Jan-2007 was our engagement in Bhopal. and coming 12-FEB-2007 is our marriage date. Then We lost Touch...Finally we met on 26th Nov 2006 in Bangalore and he proposed to me on 27th Nov. No looking back from there.
